Heading away under the west end signal gantry, BR Railfreight Class 56 no. 56038 "Western Mail" hauls am ARC empty stone train back to Whatley Quarry near Frome, Somerset. The loco was named after a South Wales newspaper, although the name is reminiscent of the type of name given to a Great Western Railway passenger express train!
