Freight action at Reading! 47100 is being held on a red light on the eastbound through line, as railfreight liveried 56039 approaches platform 5 with a stone train from Whatley Quarry in Somerset. 47100's home depot is identified as Stratford, given away by the Cockney Sparrow logo on the bodyside, which has also been given a polish thanks to a kind benefactor. The platform end here was always a popular gathering point for generations of trainspotters, including myself during some summer holidays.
