47444 "University of Nottingham" is at the platform on the 08.20 Liverpool Lime Street to Poole, having earlier arrived from the north, the loco running-round to take the train south via Reading West. This was a regular routine for all trains working on cross country services to the south coast.

This "Duff" was an early withdrawal, being taken out of service in 1990, and scrapped at Crewe Works in 1995.
