Returning from Exeter at 11.29, the Network Rail HST New Measurement Train slowly pulls into the loop at Chard Junction with the 1Q23 05.56 Reading to Salisbury via Exeter St. Davids. The former milk sidings in the foreground remain in occasional use by track machines. The train paused here for around 30 minutes awaiting a down service to pass.
