Southern Railway King Arthur Class No. 777 "Sir Lamiel" heads away from Broom Gates at 19.05, with two NSE support coaches, used on an earlier running "Devon Belle" railtour. This was a joint Network South East/Flying Scotsman Services/S.L.O.A. excursion from London Waterloo to Eastleigh, via Exeter!
No. 777 took the train from Eastleigh to Exeter via Salisbury, and BR Standard 4-6-0 no. 75069 took the train back from Exeter to Salisbury. "Taw Valley" was used during the tour, as well as 50007, and 37047 back into Waterloo from Eastleigh, so it was a fair old day out with some interesting motive power.
