(2) Later in the day we had the sight of two steam locomotives coupled tender to tender, plus a rake of coaches, on a test train of some sort, heading east at Broom Gates. BR Standard 4 4-6-0 no. 76069 and rebuilt Bulleid West Country Pacific 4-6-2 no. 34027 "Taw Valley" are the locos concerned. My notes say "running 110 minutes late".
