10th June 1992

(1) There were a couple of interesting trains running this day, all in preparation for a forthcoming steam excursion. First up was Civil Enginners "Dutch" liveried Class 37 no. 37012 and an inspection saloon, seen here crossing the River Axe at Broom Gates. It's heading up towards Yeovil but have no idea from where it originated. The former "Loch Rannoch" would have bene pounding the rails of the West Highlands a few years previously, rather than the lines of a quiet Somerset backwater!
