50042 "Triumph" slower enters the loop at Chard Junction on the 13.40 London Waterloo to Exeter St. Davids service. This train was diverted via Southampton today.
The Chard Road Tavern was later named the Three Counties Inn, and then closed and is now a private B&B. It was once visited, unexpectedly, by a brake van and wagons, run-aways from a heavy shunt in the branch sidings.
