Large Logo Duff! Class 47/4 no. 47526 is giving a helping hand to a defective classmate, no. 47579 "James Nightall G. C." on the 19.40 Exeter St. Davids to Basingstoke. The train is 15 minutes late.
Once a Gateshead, Newcastle-based locomotive and formerly named "Northumbria", the locomotive was transferred to Old Oak Common and service with Network South East in July 1991. It was withdrawn in April 2001 and remarkably, at the time of writing in late 2021, languishes in a very sorry state with West Coast Railways at their Carnforth base.
