Snow is on the ground this winter's morning. Class 50 no. 50016 "Barham" is leaving Axminster with the 09.45 Salisbury to Exeter St. Davids service, passing the old cattle dovk and permanent way huts on the right. These would all be swept away shortly in order to enlarge the car park. In the background the new Mole Avon farmers' supply store is being built on the site of the goods yard. Single track now, double track will come back 22 years later!
