This HST is the 12.09 Plymouth to London Paddington, diverted via the Southern due to the remodelling of Exeter St. Davids. Power car no. 43017 is leading (43164 was at the rear). A lot has changed since this view was taken. Double track, no HSTs anymore and this part of the platform has long been taken out of use, cut back to the road bridge. And that ex-Southern Railway concrete permanent way hut was removed a long time ago too!
