28th July 1992

47701 "Old Oak Common Traction & Rolling Stock Depot" powers away from the town, passing under the A35 bypass bridge, with an unidentified London to Exeter service (most unlike me to not note the train details, but it would be a late afternoon service as I saw it working an early-morning up train the next day!). The distant signal for the Axminster Gates crossing is on the left, as is a former Southern Railway concrete platelayers hut. As the track has been doubled here I expect that this hut has gone.
