Having waited patiently for the 1L21 09.20 London Waterloo to Exeter St. Davids train to pass it at Chard Junction, the driver of the Network Rail New Measurement Train is applying the power to speed on towards Salisbury. I could hear the train accelerate from the junction station as it headed towards my spot at Forde Abbey. Power cars nos. 43299 (leading) and 43290 (trailing) approach with the 1Q23 05.56 Reading to Salisbury via Exeter St. Davids. Watch for yourself here:
