(1) Colas Rail DR73931 - a Plasser & Theurer 08-16/4X4C100-RT tamper - is back again! Arriving some time on the Tuesday, two days ago, the machine appeared to have done some overnight work between Axminster and Honiton. Stabled in the dairy sidings each day the tamper will leave later this evening, working as 21.20 Chard Junction to Salisbury West Yard, although in fact leaving at 21.00. Pictured here at 17.49 after a bit of a make-over, I last saw it here in March 2019 (see earlier image in the gallery) wearing a previous version of the Colas Rail livery.
