Fragonset's Class 33 no. 33208 had been in trouble at Axminster station, suffering from a power loss. But things were not too serious as it is seen here accelerating away past the old brush works adjacent to Axminster Gates and the River Axe, in this late afternoon view (17.23). This is the 1Z97 Exeter St. Davids to London Waterloo returning railtour, which ran earlier in the day hauled by steam (Bullied Pacific 34027 "Taw Valley"). Steam traction took over at Yeovil.
