It's been a real gloomy day with hardly any useful light available but this event had to be recorded. I'm using Fuji Sensia 200 to record GBRf Class 66 no. 66708 and Class 73/2 no. 73204 "Janice" passing through Axminster at 14.21 on a 5V84 08.25 Tonbridge West Yard to Exeter St. Davids stock transfer service. Ex-Connex DEMUs nos. 205032 and 205028 have been acquired for use on the Dartmoor Railway so will eventually be taken to Meldon. Twenty years later and the Dartmoor Railway is no more and these units have gone north of the border, their new home being the Caledonian Railway at Brechin. Talk about going the long way round!

I really struggled to get a decent image out of this slide, so opted for black and white as the best option. Not great I know, but in this case, worth it I think.
