5th March 2001

At 13.20 EWS Class 66 no. 66021 takes a rake of 4 very clean CSA 4-wheel tank wagons eastwards through the station. A total of eight of these tanks were refurbished by EWS for transporting powdered lime to the reopened Fifoots Power Station near Newport, from Hindlow in the Peak District. It turned out to be a short-term requirement so on reflection this was quite a rare view, especially as they were only recently released back into traffic. The wagon numbers seen here are 876062, 876058, 876057 and 876059. The wagons were originally built for Rugby Cement in 1984/5.
