(2) Having shot the 6M90 Alexandra Dock Junction to Bescot "Enterprise" wagonload train arriving, it's now paused in platform 1 waiting for the road at 10.58, behind RES-liveried Class 47 no. 47771 "Heaton". Also stopped on the through road is 66018 and its train of loaded MGRs forming the 6B50 11.20 Grange Sidings to Llanwern. A third train is glimpsed between these two, hauled by Transrail-branded Class 60 no. 60056 "William Beveridge" with the 6B69 09.51 Margam to Llanwern, a short steel train. Three east-bound freight trains seen at the same time...quite remarkable really, but an everyday sight at Newport at the time.
