First photo of the year, and what a strange year it has started out to be! Thanks Covid-19! Photographed at Broom Gates, west of Chard Junction, South Western Railway Class 159s nos. 159008 & 159018 pass over the new concrete culvert. This was constructed here at the same time as the one at Axe Gates, further west. Taming the River Axe, which has a tendency to flood around here. Just glimpsed on the left is the wall of a WWII pill box, on of many remains from the Stop Line.
