This year's one-and-only steam excursion on the old "South Western" ran today, so I headed down to the junction to see it. I knew that photo opportunities near the level crossing would be very limited, and remembered that the view from the field to the west side of the creamery site might offer a decent view. However, when I got there, there was great disappointment, as nature had run riot and the view I thought was there, wasn't! So I had to settle for the view from the foot crossing. I don't think it's too bad, perhaps a bit too "head-on", but not terrible.
