Ajax at Axe Gates! Class 50 no. 50046 "Ajax" has the dubious honour of being the last BR "large logo" Class 50 in service. Here it shoots past Axe Gates on the 17.35 Paignton to London Waterloo service, passing grazing cattle on this warm and bright summer's evening. 10 days earlier I enjoyed a cab ride aboard "Ajax", a memory that will stay with me forever!
