Broom Gates, less than a mile from Axe Gates on the London side, is the location for this diverted west-bound HST, lead by power car no. 43183, with 43128 on the rear. The line between the two level crossings is dead straight on a eastward climb of 1 in 220, and you can see one from the other quite easily.
The diversion was due to the derailment of a gas oil train at Bradford On Tone, resulting in a major incident, and fire.
