Class 508 no.508139 is seen at Sandhills station on a Southport train. At the time of my visit Sandhills was a pretty desolate place, with the demolition of an old viaduct taking place alongside. Sandhills Junction is just north of the station, where the lines to Southport and Preston diverge.
