Southport: The clock is ticking for the erstwhile Merseyrail Class 507 and 508 750vDC EMUs as the new Class 777 is due to take over in the next year or so. So it's an appropriate time to catch them before they are taken out of service. Developed from the BR "PEP" design the Class 507s went straight to Merseyside on introduction, but the 508s started out working on the Southern before transferring north later. At 17.04 Units 507011 and 507019 slowly approaching the station with 2S41 16.06 Hunts Cross to Southport service.
