(2) Turning around and looking west, Class 205 "Thumper" unit no. 205033 heads away on a Bristol to Southampton service at 12.35. Built in 1962 as number 1133, the later-renumbered 205022 is now preserved, on the Lavender Line at near Uckfield, East Sussex. The expansion joint has caught my attention in the foreground.
