This pair of "Crompton" Class 33s are making a lovely racket, and a fair bit of clag, as they pull a loaded ballast train from Meldon Quarry through the station. The ballast, which I think is destined for Woking, is loaded in "Seacow" bogie hoppers, standard equipment at the time. The locomotives are nos. 33057 & 33110. Both are preserved, the former on the West Somerset Railway, the latter originally on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, but in 2020 it was sold and taken to Essex.
