Before being converted into a Class 47/4 electric train heat-fitted loco, 47564 "Colossus" was previously numbered 47086, and one of the original Western Region "namers". This group of locos in the 47076 to 47091 range of steam-heat only Class 47/0s are what I associate most with my early trainspotting years, their sightings being fairly common in the early 1980s, but I still enjoyed seeing them when I could..
