Peak 45106 is running past the depot light engine, probably having been taken off a west country train in exchange for something Laira-based. The driver is watching carefully as the shunter walks alongside. This loco became something of a celebrity two years later when it was painted BR green and became a railtour favourite, as the class were run down. Sadly, it later became somewhat infamous, when it caught fire on a Derby to St. Pancras service and was withdrawn.
