19th Feb 1997

It's a gloomy morning at 09.37 as 56134 "Blyth Power" heads a loaded MGR train full of imported coal southwards. Gascoigne Wood colliery, part of the immense Selby coal field, is behind the trees on the horizon, and the train would have come around from the right, the line from Selby.
The 56 is wearing the Train Load Coal livery, one that looked smart enough when the sun was out, but a little drab in dull weather. It would have shone in its previous large logo blue colours!
