GBRf 66733 is passing at 11.34 on the 6C09 08.45 Immingham Dock to Eggesborough Power Station, with a load of imported coal.

Imported coal, passing what was once Europe's most modern coal mine! Really? We must all do our bit to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment, but it seems crazy to me that it was considered to be good for the environment to fill a ship with coal dug out of the ground in the USA, China, Russia, or wherever, and take it to a place where coal already exists locally. The open market is good in many respects, but this was, to me, a prime example when a more environmental solution should have been encouraged, or even enforced.
