Summertime in South Yorkshire and a collection of brightly-coloured liveries confirm the transition period on the railways, from the remnants of the pre-privatisation years of BR, to the private operators then taking hold. Looking sharp in the aircraft blue colours of Mainline, at 11.21 Class 58 no. 58008 moves a short rake of 7 HAA coal hoppers to Milford Sidings. I assume that they have been on repair at Knottingley.
