Eggesford: "Skipper" 142027 has stopped at the station, on the 14.26 Barnstaple to Exeter St. Davids service. The signal is off and it will shortly pull away south. The rather ugly and modern flat-roofed signal box was closed later in this year, but the station remains an exchange point for tokens on this single-line route.

In steam days the "Atlantic Coast Express" made its one and only stop between Exeter and Barnstaple at this station.
