From the A35 bypass bridge I have this view of the 15.15 London Waterloo to Exeter St. Davids, hauled this afternoon by former Scottish “shove-duff” 47714, looking slick in its Network South East “toothpaste” livery. Fortunately the authorities were forward thinking enough to make sure that the road bridge over the railway here would accommodate a second track, as 18 years later one arrived!
