Modern times at Milford, and the sidings are still in regular use, mostly it seems for the biomass traffic that has steadily replaced coal. But here, at 11.20, DB Schenker (EWS) Class 66 no. 66087 handles a remaining empty coal working. Waiting for the "off" it is standing at the head of the 4S93 11.23 (MFX-Q) 11.23 Milford West Sidings to Hunterston.
MFX-Q = Mondays & Fridays excepted, and a "Q" train runs when required. Today it was required! One of the distinctive Drax IIA biomass hoppers is seen behind the train.
