Proving the point that he Class 33 "Cromptons" still had plenty to give, Civil Engineers-liveried no. 33046 "Merlin" rasps away from town with the 12.40 London Waterloo to Exeter St. Davids service. The train was 25 minutes late, though, so either it was a stand0in for an earlier failure, or the schedule was a bit challenging. Whatever the reason, it was nice to see it.
