I think I am right in saying that this Class 47/8, no. 47843 "Vulcan" is owned by Poerterbrook, previously leased to Virgin Trains and now leased to Freightliner! Whatever the arrangement, the locomotive is seen here putting out some clag as it passes through platform 1 at 11.43 on a westbound football special to Cardiff, one of two seen today. One of the original Western Class 47 "namers", this was once no. 47090.
