First train of the day at 07.00 (it was an early start from Devon!) sees Freightliner Class 57/0 no. 57011 "Freightliner Challenger" in charge of the 4O06 00.50 Crewe Basford Hall to Southampton. It was running late by an hour and 15 minutes, so lucky for me! No. 57011 is now owned by West Coast Railways, but sadly being used as a source of spare parts for their other '57s.
