12th Sept 1994

A different view, at 16.55, of a stone train on a service from the then-Amey Roadstone Corporation (ARC) quarry at Whatley, Somerset, as it crosses the mainline and on to the route towards Fareham. I can only presume that it was heading towards Botley, Fareham, or even Chichester. The loco is 59102 "Village of Mells", in what I thought was a smart livery of mostly mustard yellow and grey, as are the bogie hopper wagons.
