I was up with the lark as this is the first shot of the day, at 07.39, and South West Trains 4-CEP (Class 411) no. 1555 rolls in from Southampton. Slam door stock, now a thing of the past, but the very thing that defined passenger travel in the UK for decades. This was a marathon day, as my collection of photos on this visit goes right through to the early evening! Don't worry, I'm only giving you a small selection....
