18th April 2004 - East Somerset Railway, Cranmore, Somerset
Star of the show, so to speak, during this one-day-only diesel operating day, was EWS Class 37 no. 37674 "Saint Blaise Church 1445-1995", still wearing its Transrail livery, and quite honestly in deplorable condition. I seem to remember seeing significant rust and corrosion around the cab. But she sounded great, and ran well I think. Here it is standing alongside Cranmore station awaiting the next service. It was a dull and wet day!
