The view from the footbridge next to the long-stay car park offers this scene. The GWR mainline to Bristol is to the right and the tracks that curve around to the north to form the freight yard veer off to the left in the middle distance. In the foreground, as it slowly finds its way through the platform 3 route, GBRf 66715 "Forest City" is taking the Didcot West Junction to Didcot West Curve Junction line at 15.55 on 4M61 12.48 Southampton to Trafford Park Freightliner service: GBRf had leased the loco to Freightliner to cover for their own motive power shortage at the time.
