The signal bridge on the approach to Aller Junction is seen from the main road side, with HST power cars nos. 43013 "City of Bristol" (leading) and 43185 (trailing) about to pass under with the "Cornish Riviera Express", the 10.59 London Paddington to Penzance. Mechanical signalling is so photogenic and scenes such as this are nigh on impossible to find now, certainly when it comes to GWR signal gantries. There are still pockets of semaphore signalling to be found around the UK, and I intend to capture more for posterity before it's too late!
