13th May 1986

(5) So, 47354 is now at the east end of its train, ready to depart as the 7C13 (COY) 19.50 Newton Abbot to Waterston Sidings empties. The oil terminal on the branch opened in 1965, and closed around the end of the 1980s, I think. The line has also hosted clay trains, and more recently regular timber trains operated by Colas Rail, but the branch seems to be falling into a slumber again, with no traffic on it for the past few years. Will it reawaken?
