A close up of Aller Junction Signal Box in its dying days, with corrugated iron lamp hut to the side. The signalman would park their car in an entrance driveway off the Kingskerswell road, and I seem to recall that there was an allotment there too. The box was closed later in the year, and demolished soon after. Looking closely at this image I wonder if it had much time left anyway, as there are some large cracks in the brick work on the right. I can almost hear the bells from inside the box even now...
