Annoyingly the sun went in as the train approached, disappointing as this was a location that I had seen before and had thought it looked particularly attractive for photography, especially as the sun was out! But it's still a nice view, as 66126 heads north at Carmont at 08.43 with the 6A31 TWO 05.52 Mossend to Aberdeen Waterloo china clay train.
Semaphores and a signal box make the location even more appealing, as does the peace and quiet of the location. The signal box is just off to the right, at the level crossing. We followed this train to the end of the Aberdeen Waterloo branch, and a selection of these photos can be seen in that section.
