Sneaking into the engineer's yard on an early Sunday morning allowed me to get this view of two English, Welsh & Scottish Railway freshly-painted Class 37s, nos. 37695 and 37416 at the head of an engineer's train that arrived from the west, at 10.00. The locos were removed from their rake of spoil wagons and moved off noisily, their English Electric 12CSVT engines raising the late sleepers out of their beds in this Newport suburb!
