Standing on the bridge in Hackney Lane, close to the Passage House Inn, I'm looking over the parapet to see this westbound Intercity-liveried HST on a service for either Paignton or Plymouth/Penzance. Sadly my notes don't recall the train, just that I took some photos here between 15.45 and 16.45. As you can see, it was a glorious late spring, perfect weather for the Newton Abbot Festival of Transport event being held at the racecourse, which was why I was in the area this day.
