(1) Long distance HST - not long for this world! At 15.44 Arriva Cross Country power cars nos. 43303 and 43304 storm up the incline towards the tunnel on the 1S55 14.27 Plymouth to Edinburgh service. what a lovely journey that would be in the comfort of the excellent BR Mark III coaches. The alternative after these trains are taken out of service will be the vastly inferior and cramped "Voyagers". Not an improvement for the passenger at all!
