The Non-Mazey Day Cornishman!

The Pathfinder Tours “Mazey Day Cornishman” bursts out of a misty Whiteball Tunnel at 09.45, heading for Cornwall. Running as the 1Z67 05.04 Birmingham New Street to Penzance the train is hauled by the GBRf-liveried celebrity duo Class 50s nos. 50007 “Hercules” (masquerading as no. 50034 “Furious”) and 50049 “Defiance”. At this point they were around ten minutes behind schedule.

This tour, like so many others this year, had been deferred to a later running date. More like the “Non-Mazey Day Cornishman”.

I expected to see others at this spot but as it turned out I was on my own! Needless to say that as I drove back home the sun broke through and the mist evaporated!

Enjoy the sight, and sound, of the two "fifties" leaving the tunnel and heading downgrade - https://youtu.be/aiUSmNq0hiM
