(1) My first visit to Blea Moor and not a bad train to start with! At 15.09 Colas Rail Class 70 pioneer, no. 70801, leaves the loop and passes the up loop starter signal, with the 6J37 12.58 Carlisle North Yard to Chirk Kronospan loaded timber train, it had arrived at 14.39 to allow Northern passenger trains to pass. This was an impressive train of considerable length. Blea Moor Signal Box is seen in the background.
